The Best Treadmills for the Home 2022

So, you are about to start an exercise program. You want to work out at home. I think that’s a great idea. Especially nowadays. Many people don’t have a safe place to jog or speed walk. Hence, the treadmill.

But how do we know which treadmill to get? Treadmills come in different models. So many that it can be confusing. I have done some research on treadmills. I hope it helps you. I found the best treadmills for the home. Let’s get right into it.

Nordic Track T Series 6.5s Folding Treadmill

Nordic Track T6.5s

I am very impressed with this treadmill. The price is great compared to the other high-quality treadmills I found. This particular model of Nordic Track is not much different than other Nordic Track treadmills. This is a high-quality treadmill.

Its base (the area you walk on) is 20″ x 55″.

There is “flex select” deck cushioning to decrease the impact on your joints. The only downside to this model is that the monitor screen is only 5″.

You can go as fast as 10 miles per hour. Who does that?!? Not me…

This treadmill can tolerate up to 300lbs.

You get a free 30-day membership to iFIT with this treadmill. iFIT is a program where you can receive live coaching from licensed coaches.

The instructor will be on your screen. He/She will be able to adjust the settings on your treadmill to fit in with the routine. Best of all, the instructor comes to you in real-time. It is almost like you are in a real class.

Not only will you be motivated to do your best for the instructor, but you will be able to run, walk, or jog in many different parts of the world. Your instructor will adjust your settings to match that of the terrain that you are walking, running, or jogging on. Now, how cool is that?

Another good thing about this treadmill is that it is foldable. You can fold it up and tuck it out of the way if you need to.

Overall, this is the best treadmill for your buck.

Nordic Track Commercial x32i Treadmill

Nordic Track x32i Commercial

Don’t worry that it is for commercial use. It is of superior quality and will work fine in your home.

This particular treadmill comes with a 32″ monitor. It is awesome. You can watch a movie while you are working out. There are built-in speakers, and the machine is Bluetooth compatible.

This treadmill also comes with a 30-day iFIT subscription. On this treadmill, you’ll have a much bigger and clearer picture of the instructor as he/she is coaching you. You’ll also be able to see the terrain that you are traveling on, much better than the 5″ screen on the other model.

The Nordic Track x32i comes with a warranty. It should, shouldn’t it?

This treadmill inclines up to 40%. I don’t know anyone with superpowers to do 40% incline for more than a minute. Maybe if you are walking, slow.

There are speakers built into the console. It comes with a strap that you put around your chest that monitors your heart rate. The treadmill will adjust speeds based on your heart rate. So, it’ll slow you down if your heart rate is too high.

This machine is quite sturdy and is constructed to limit the amount of noise it might make.

The price difference between the t-6.5s and the x32i is hardly justifiable. I didn’t notice any significant difference in attributes between the 2 treadmills. Nothing except the 32″ inch screen compared to the 5″ screen. That alone is not worth the huge price difference. Maybe because this model is a commercial model?

Moving on…

Horizon Fitness 7.0 Treadmill

Horizon 7.0

This treadmill is a heavy-duty foldable machine. It has flex support cushioning to decrease the amount of impact, protecting your joints. It has handles in the center that you hold for an accurate heart rate. This is how you know you if are training at maximum intensity.

This treadmill doesn’t have a subscription to live coaches, but it has pre-built routines that’ll take you to any level you want. It inclines up to 15%.

The maximum speed is 12 miles per hour. That is for someone with way more speed and energy than me.

This machine is Bluetooth-ready. You can also stream movies or other videos to watch while you work out.

The maximum capacity is 325lbs. The console can hold your phone or tablet securely. There is also a USB for charging your device while you use it.

The price is in between the last 2 treadmills I just talked about.

This treadmill is a great one. It does all that the Nordic Tracks does. It just doesn’t have the live coaching.

Bowflex Treadmill Series T7

Bowflex T7

I saved the best for last. This one is my favorite. This treadmill assesses your current fitness level and creates custom workouts personalized to your unique capabilities. It provides feedback and coaching that guides you through your workouts. This is all from the built-in touchscreen.

You will get a one-year subscription to a JRNY membership. JRNY does the same thing as iFIT does. You’ll get a live coach to guide your workouts and encourage you to keep going.

The screen is only 7″. That is the only downside.

With your JRNY membership, you will get to explore destinations all around the world and discover 50 plus global routes that auto-adjust to real-time at your speed. This treadmill is my favorite. I love the console.

Your running or walking space is 22″ x 60″

You’ll get an armband that will monitor your heart rate, which will ensure you are working at maximum intensity.

This treadmill has Bluetooth speakers.

Conclusion

So, I have provided you with some information that you can use to decide which treadmill is for you. You can check Amazon for other brands that aren’t as expensive. But, if you want high-quality, durability and good workouts don’t just get a treadmill because it is cheaper than the others. You deserve good quality. After all, it’s your body that will be benefitting from the use of the treadmill.

You may be contemplating getting an elliptical machine or a stationary bike instead of a treadmill. Think it all the way through. You can do more on the treadmill.

I will be comparing stationary bikes soon, so check back for that.
